When this started happening, it was shocking, confusing and simply scary. The thought that children could so easily be convinced that the USA was evil. The next thought, that a child could join a war, decide to sacrifice their lives. Decide to cause massive emotional trauma to their families…
Why are children so easily brainwashed to join a fight that they do not even understand?
It is sad that children think so little of their parents, of their families. Yet, the operative word here is ‘think’. Why would a child specifically write a letter of intent, clearly explaining the goal of joining a war? Decide to give their lives to terrorize and kill their own brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers? Their own country, their own society?
Quite obviously and very clearly there is something wrong and it is not all that difficult to see what it is. Anyway, something to think about for another time…
There is so much evil in this world present and past.
It is a simple and salient fact: ISIS is evil.
Any society or religion that postulates violence is simply evil.
Whether this includes the torture that the Roman Catholic Church historically perpetrated or the Muslim suicide bomber in present day: All Evil.
Other unanswered or difficult questions: Why do people emigrate to the USA and then still insist to speak the language of their previous country? Why do people make a decision to live in a new country, a new culture and then refuse to integrate or accept the culture, values and essence of their newly adopted society? Surely the idea of diversity is to bring new ideas, growth and renewal to society. Not to resist, fight or combat the adoptive society from within?
So many questions and so many answers. You will find so many strong opinions on all of these important questions all over the place. Easy to see what everyone thinks. Oh, yes, the operative word again: thinks… Right.
If you have strong opinions about these questions you should consider the possibility that you may not truly understand the questions…
